Exception: Reproduction or printouts for internal use are permitted without written authorization from the Volkswagen Group, as long as they are used for internal purposes only. Internal use refers to usage within the facility with the same facility code.
Exception: Printouts of maintenance tables, labor times, and diagnostic logs may be provided to customers.
The distribution of portions of technical knowhow and general technical information to known NORA customers (in accordance with the NORA guidelines of VW AG) is permitted.
The following are expressly excluded from this:
1. Information/data from RESERVE regarding repair history.
2. Information about recall campaigns.
3. Content from HST (Technical Service Handbook).
4. Information/data regarding repairs to electronic components.
Warranty work is performed using only VW original parts. For all other repairs, use the replacement parts automatically selected by Apos. Otherwise, follow the regulations in articles 5 and 6 of the service agreement.
2. Information on danger, warning, caution, and note descriptions
Read and follow the danger, warning, caution, and tip texts before performing maintenance or repair work.

3. Warranty Note
The diagnostic log is automatically sent online when Guided Fault Finding ends.
The diagnostic log must contain the correct work order number and VIN.
If there is no diagnostic log, we reserve the right to deny the warranty claim.
The diagnostic connector may only be disconnected from the vehicle early if you are instructed to do so.
4. Note about test conditions
General test conditions:
5. Identification of texts that should not be translated
Performing steps when you do not understand the content can cause accidents, serious injury, and damage.
Procedure for texts that are not translated:
If the translation of a text outside of a test program is missing, this text will be marked specifically in the source language of the function text.
The following shows an example of this:

The text ‘Identification of untranslated texts’ can be checked in the Disclaimer (in the ‘Information’ section) at any time.
6. Special notes for remote diagnosis
If there are people inside or on the vehicle during remote diagnosis, damage or personal injury may result.
7. Security information about vehicle status information (terminal 15, network, vehicle, etc.)
The display of vehicle status information - such as terminal 15, network, vehicle, drive readiness - in a test program may be delayed compared to the actual vehicle status. For this reason, the user should check the status directly on the vehicle before beginning work each time. |
8. General safety precautions when working on airbags, belt tensioners, and battery cut-off units (pyrotechnic components)
Pyrotechnic components always contain propellant that generates a gas during combustion.
In some components, there is also a supply of pressurized gas to ensure this gas is generated.
This pressurized gas is stored under high pressure in a compressed gas container.
Pyrotechnic components are triggered by electrical/mechanical igniters.
Only trained personnel should perform testing, assembly and servicing work.
Airbags do not have a replacement interval.
Never check with test lamps, voltmeter or ohmmeters.
Only check pyrotechnic components when they are installed in the vehicle using vehicle diagnosis, testing and information systems approved by the manufacturer.
Working on pyrotechnic components:
Working on the airbag control module - J234:
The ignition must be SWITCHED ON when connecting the battery.
There should not be anyone inside the vehicle when doing this.
Exception: vehicles with batteries in the passenger compartment.
In this case, stay outside the range of the airbags and seat belts.
Wash your hands after touching ignited pyrotechnic components from the restraint system.
Do not open or repair pyrotechnic components. Use only new components to reduce the risk of injury.
Do not install pyrotechnic components that have fallen onto a hard surface or show signs of damage.
Discharge static electricity before handling pyrotechnic components, for example before disconnecting the electrical connector. This can be done by touching grounded metal objects such as the door striker pin.
Install pyrotechnic components immediately after removing them from their transport packaging.
If you must stop working, store the pyrotechnic component in its original transport packaging.
Do not leave pyrotechnic components lying in the open unattended.
Do not treat pyrotechnic components with grease, cleaning solutions, or similar products.
Do not expose pyrotechnic components to temperatures above 100 ºC, even for brief periods of time.
Please refer to the information on driver and front passenger airbags in the repair manuals applicable to the vehicle model.
8.1. Storing, transporting, and disposing of airbags, belt tensioners, and battery cut-off units (pyrotechnic components)
Components must be stored in accordance with applicable legal regulations.
Components must be transported in accordance with federal and international regulations that control the packaging, identification, labeling, and accompanying documentation in detail.
Dispose of unignited pyrotechnic components correctly in their original packaging in accordance with legal regulations. Please contact your importer if you have any questions.
Only completely ignited pyrotechnic components may be disposed of in the trash.
9. Note about the Start/Stop system
Safety precautions for vehicles with Start/Stop system
Workshop employees could be injured while performing work on the vehicle if the Start/Stop system is activated unexpectedly.
10. General safety precautions when working on the 48 V system
Malfunctions or incorrect handling when working on the 48 V system can result in dangers such as short circuits, fault arcs, burns, and injuries if startled.
11. General safety precautions when working on the high voltage system
The high-voltage system in the vehicle can cause injuries such as burns and fatal electric shocks if there are voltage fluctuations due to damage or if the safety precautions are not followed.
12. Safety information for road tests
Please note that during diagnostic work and when the remote diagnosis head is connected during road tests, the functions of control modules using online connections are limited, such as the emergency call function. |
13. Vehicles with “connect” functions
On vehicles that are equipped with “connect” functions, various vehicle functions (such as auxiliary air conditioning or opening/closing the vehicle, etc.) can be controlled remotely and activated by certain customers. To reduce the risk of injury that can result from connect functions, the “connect” functions should be deactivated or switched off.
14. Security measures / illegal use of FAZIT/GeKo
